Volunteer Peer Mentors

Vanier College Peer Mentors serve all students by fostering their academic and organizational skills necessary for academic and personal success.
Through group workshops and one-on-one consultation services, the Peer Mentor team promotes independent learning by working with students to develop university-level learning skills and strategies, enhanced self-awareness about themselves, and improved academic confidence and success.
Peer Mentors empower students to enhance their academic, social, and personal goals by sharing with, and connecting them to, resources and opportunities offered by Vanier College, LA&PS and York University.

All volunteers must undergo mandatory training to become a peer mentor.  Both the training and peer mentoring can count towards your co-curricular transcript through YUconnect.

At the end of your commitment, we will present you with a certificate of appreciation to acknowledge your participation on the Peer Mentoring team.
